RIPE TIME SETS ITS SIGHTS ON DALLAS BASED VILLAGE FARMS

RipeTime CEO Jon Lowy and Vice-President Operations Piers Gascoine have recently just returned from Fort Worth, Dallas, where they visited Village Farms; one of the largest producers of premium quality greenhouse tomatoes, bell peppers and cucumbers.

Meeting with Quality Assurance Manager Brandon Jamison, RipeTime not only presented their technology, highlighting the benefits of implementation, but Jon and Piers were able to conduct initial fruit testing across a range of tomato varieties to establish unique signatures, in terms of present and ideal gas levels.

They will now construct a full technical report with a view to revisit Village Farms in Fort Worth with the intention to conduct wider scope testing using both the tag and reader, and environmental sensor.

Village Farms is one of North America’s largest producers of quality tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers, that are grown in a glass enclosed high technology environment. Village Farms markets and distributes throughout the United States and Canada and currently operates distribution centers located across the United States and Canada.
